Karlsruhe Zoo is located north of Karlsruhe Central Station in the city of Karlsruhe, Germany. It was opened in 1865 and is one of the oldest zoos in Germany. It has about 800 animals and 150 species.
 
The Günther-Klotz-Anlage is a publicly accessible parking area in the south-west of Karlsruhe , named after the former Karlsruhe mayor Günther Klotz. The 18 hectare area was created from 1976 onwards. The first construction phase was opened on 16 October 1976, [1] the entire site was completed in 1985 after nine years of construction.

The nature reserve Altrhein Maxau is a nature reserve in Karlsruhe West in the area of Altrhein . It is surrounded by the younger nature and landscape protection area Burgau.
